Oscar Marshall – St Annes North
I am dedicated to social justice and fighting all forms of discrimination. I have worked as a support worker in the health and social care sector for seven years, and currently I work in a local school providing behaviour, mental health and well-being support to pupils. I have seen first-hand what Conservative cuts have done to public services and I believe Labour has the right values and policies to create the change we so badly need. As a County Councillor I’d be committed to being accountable and transparent to the community I hope to serve.
Born and raised in the Fylde and I have always been an active campaigner for community concerns on issues including anti-fracking, and anti-fascism. In the local party I am the Chair, Campaigns officer and youth officer. I actively campaign on the issues affecting St Annes, and in 2019 I helped to successfully compose a major anti-fracking motion that was passed at the Labour Conference.
I believe it is time for the Fylde to have new energy in the county council, with councillors that stand up and provide a voice for all in the community.
